Not Chicken Scratch: Harris Gets Jim Perdue Support

A Baltimore County state senator trying to unseat Republican Congressman Wayne Gilchrest has another big name in his camp.

Republican Andrew Harris is planning an fundraiser Thursday night in Ocean City, and the host is Jim Perdue, chairman of the Perdue Farms poultry company. The Harris campaign plans to raise more than $10,000 at the closed-door event.

Harris has outraised the incumbent so far this year.  Earlier this month,  former Governor Ehrlich was part of a fundraiser for Harris,  who says that Gilchrest is too liberal for the First District that hugs the Chesapeake Bay.
